1. What is your favourite work of art?
I like to return to a couple of paintings; Velazquez’s Rokeby Venus and Rembrandt`s Self Portrait, at the Age of 63 for the pure admiration regarding, skill, tactile quality of brushwork together with the technique of handling the medium to such a degree of excellence.

2. What artist has been a constant inspiration though out your life?
To isolate a particular artist (s) is quite difficult, as previously mentioned I do admire the baroque period (1600). I am inspired likewise with German Expressionism, latterly Abstract Expressionist representing gesture, action and aesthetic expression.

3. If you could have any work by any artist to hang on your wall who or what would it be?
An arduous task to restrict to anyone painting or work, I would base my synopsis on technique and application of brushwork, painterly quality; engaging `close-up` and `at a distance` such techniques as chiaroscuro, sfumato likewise lost and found edges. Although not conclusive leads me towards paintings: Rembrandt`s A woman bathing in a stream(1654) and Pollock`s The she wolf(1943) although in layman’s terms the images may seem a world apart, however they are analogous in my opinion with regard to portrayal of emotion, sentiment and tension.

4. What would you describe as art and not-art?
Definition of art: `The expression or application of human creative skill and imagination`. In my opinion, without being generic, pompous or stating the obvious art it is simply `as to what the viewer brings`. by that I mean if listening to a piece of music or reading a novel and so forth it is the person`s psyche, curiosity their understanding of their world. `Non-art`, provocation or jumping on a bandwagon `art` as we know it has been around since human existence mark making; an expression or communication, we are all duplicating what has been before so `art` is simply `art` whether drawing with charcoal or a camera it is a form of our existence who we are, what we are and we chose to communicate, connect with ourselves and others, although I do believe art at times is exploited to make a fast reward, unfortunately that is the pop world we live in.
5. Who would your ideal collector be?
Saatchi and or simply anyone who appreciates and connects with my work.
